The PAL Network is proud to present the Interactive Digital Booklet “From Oral Tradition to Digital Booklet: Resilient Threads Preserves Romani Cultural Heritage”, one of the key outcomes of the Erasmus+ project Resilient Threads.
Resilient Threads is a European initiative dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and promoting Romani cultural heritage through storytelling, intercultural dialogue, and active youth participation. As a project partner, PAL Network collaborated with young people from across Europe to amplify authentic Roma voices, challenge stereotypes, and foster mutual understanding through the sharing of personal stories and experiences.
For generations, Romani culture, traditions, and memories have been passed down through oral storytelling. Through the Resilient Threads project, these valuable narratives have been collected and transformed into an engaging digital resource that highlights the richness, resilience, and diversity of Romani identity while making these stories accessible to a wider audience.
What You Will Find in the Interactive Booklet
Visitors can explore a variety of multimedia content, including:
- Inspiring stories gathered during the international Bootcamp in Stockholm and the Storytelling Nights organised across Europe.
- A dedicated podcast, where participants share their stories in their own voices, bringing lived experiences and cultural heritage to life.
- Photos and videos documenting the participants’ journey, from creative workshops and collaborative activities to public storytelling performances.
The booklet reflects the meaningful collaboration between young Roma and non-Roma participants who worked together to preserve cultural heritage, combat stereotypes, and strengthen intercultural dialogue through the power of storytelling.
