POLAR in Leeuwarden: Building Bridges in the Classroom

Different perspectives, one shared mission! 🌍

Last Friday, the PAL Network team met with our partners at Solution Safari in Leeuwarden for the second Transnational Partner Meeting of our Erasmus+ project POLAR – Polarized No More!

It was only the second time we’ve all been together in person since our kick-off on March 27. Online meetings are great, but nothing beats sharing ideas and shaping plans in the same room (ideally with good coffee ☕).

Together with Solution Safari and !mpulse Leeuwarden, we reflected on our progress and mapped out the next steps:

– Educational modules: Building resources that help students and educators understand polarization, sharpen critical thinking and navigate difficult conversations.

– Project website: Reviewing the site and exploring how to bring our work to a wider audience.

– Student workbooks & educator guides: Turning our ideas into practical classroom activities.

– Pilot workshops: Planning the pilots where our materials will be tested and improved.

What makes POLAR special is that we don’t just talk about bridging divides. We work across countries, backgrounds and perspectives to create tools that can make a real difference in classrooms.

A big thank you to Solution Safari for hosting us, and to all our partners for their energy, ideas and commitment! 🙌

We’re making progress, learning from each other and looking forward to what’s next.

Different countries. Different perspectives. One shared goal: Polarized No More!
