AntiGypsyism Partners Meet in Cyprus to Advance Gamification for Roma Inclusion

On 22 October 2026, partners of the AntiGypsyism – Gamification to Combat Discrimination Towards Roma project gathered in Cyprus for a Transnational Project Meeting hosted by Humane Technology Center. The meeting brought the partnership together to review progress, discuss key educational resources and plan upcoming activities.

The partnership brings together six organisations: Institute for Roma and Minorities Inclusion (IRMI) from Germany, as project coordinator; Humane Technology Center from Cyprus; PAL Network from Belgium; Symplexis from Greece; Roma Youth Centre Association from North Macedonia; and Brainstorming from Spain. Together, they contribute expertise in Roma inclusion, youth participation, non-formal education and gamified learning.

Discussions centred on two key project deliverables: an educational board game and a practical manual on combating antigypsyism through gamification. These resources aim to help youth workers and educators engage young people in recognising discrimination, questioning stereotypes and exploring ways to support Roma inclusion.

The meeting provided space for partners to exchange ideas on the development of these tools and their use in educational and youth work settings. Partners also discussed the next stages of implementation and coordinated activities to promote equality and participation.

The Cyprus meeting supported the partnership’s shared commitment to challenging antigypsyism through education, dialogue and cooperation.
