The first newsletter presents the launch of the European project AntiGyp – “Gamification to Combat Discrimination Towards Roma”, a two-year Erasmus+ initiative aimed at addressing anti-Roma discrimination through innovative educational tools and gamification.
The project began with the first transnational partner meeting in Wuppertal, Germany, where management processes, roles, and a common implementation plan were established.
Currently, WP2 is being implemented, which involves mapping the needs and skills of young people, youth workers, and Roma mediators, collecting experiences, and documenting challenges related to anti-Roma discrimination—both online and offline. The results will lead to the production of 6 National Reports and a Comprehensive European Report.
Next, the project will develop:
- A Guide to Combating Anti-Roma Discrimination
- A Gamification Handbook for Youth Workers
- A Raising Awareness Board Game
- Local Anti-Discrimination Hubs in each participating country
The project moves forward with a commitment to empower young people and promote a more inclusive society across Europe.
