On 27 January 2026, the ROMDIEM International Symposium was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, bringing together more than 100 participants from across Europe.
With representation from Greece, Bulgaria, Belgium, Slovakia, Serbia, Italy, and over 10 European countries, the event created a truly European space for exchange, remembrance, and dialogue.
A key message resonated throughout the day:
Remembering the Roma Holocaust is a moral and democratic responsibility. Preserving this history is essential in the fight against racism, antigypsyism, and discrimination.
