The Youth Employment / Training Foundation of Cyprus (YETF) is a non profit organization committed to empowering young people by equipping them with essential and innovative soft and hard skills for today’s labor market. Our mission is to create new job opportunities, sensitize employers, foster inclusive workplaces, and leverage innovative ideas to develop circular economy models and sustainable job positions, particularly within the green economy. Our mission aligns with the European Union’s goals of solidarity, social inclusion, equality, green practices, and education for all. We focus on upskilling, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, and cultivating the necessary skills for young people to succeed and integrate socially. Our primary target group includes Youth with fewer opportunities due to their socio-demographic characteristics and namely, youth, young adults, and emerging adults (15+ years old). Among them we focus on women, NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, early school leavers, Minorities and youth from rural areas, Migrants and refugees, LGBT+, youth with maladaptive behaviors, students in STEAM and humanities fields, young people with disabilities, Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, people with autoimmune and degenerative diseases like Multiple Sclerosis or neurodevelopmental disorders, ASD/ADHD.
