Romani HealthCare APS is a newly founded Roma-led non-profit association based in Italy. The organization was created to support Roma and Sinti people and families facing situations related to disability, autism, neurodivergence, psychological distress, mental health and other health-related vulnerabilities.
The association aims to promote inclusion, dignity and equal access to services through guidance, social support, cultural mediation, accompaniment to public services, awareness-raising and cooperation with institutions, health services, social services, schools, professionals and community organizations.
Romani HealthCare APS focuses especially on the needs of Roma and Sinti families who often face barriers in accessing health and social support, due to discrimination, lack of information, mistrust, poverty, social exclusion and limited communication with institutions. Through its work, the association wants to build bridges between Roma communities and public services, promote rights and improve the quality of support offered to people with disabilities, autism, neurodivergence and mental health needs.
