A scholar, historian, and relentless advocate for Roma truth, he spoke with clarity, urgency, and deep emotion about the Samudaripen—the genocide of the Roma people during WWII.

Prof. Acković called for truth, recognition, and justice—for a Roma Holocaust museum, for school textbooks, and for our voices to be heard in Europe’s memory.
His courage was unwavering. His legacy lives on.
