One of the standout good practices featured in the Proud Ambassadors project is the Rainbow Houses Network – a collaboration of local organizations in cities like Brussels, Antwerp, Liège, and Ghent.
These Rainbow Houses provide safe spaces, mental health support, legal advice, and community activities for LGBTQIA+ individuals, young people, families, and educators. Beyond local support, they also engage in awareness-raising, educational programs, and advocacy at both regional and national levels.
💬 Rainbow Houses are a good practice because:
✨ They have strong local presence and visibility
🤝 They work closely with municipalities, schools, and communities
📢 They reduce stigma and strengthen support networks for LGBTQIA+ youth
📘 Through the Proud Ambassadors project, PAL NETWORK and its partners aim to highlight and share good practices like this, empowering LGBTQIA+ youth across Europe.
